Meta's newest launch could be a clear signal of where consumer AI heads next. Let’s take a closer look at what Muse is, what it can do, how social teams and creators should prepare, and why the shift matters.
Meta introduced Muse as a personal AI agent built to complete tasks rather than simply talk about them. Reachable on the web at muse.ai, through iOS and Android apps, and inside WhatsApp, it hooks into the services people lean on every day, from calendars and email to banking, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
Once it's connected, it can take on a surprising spread of everyday jobs:
Writing and sending emails, filling out forms, and arranging travel
Turning a recipe Reel into a ready-to-shop grocery list
Trimming or renegotiating recurring bills
Building plans and sending out event invitations
Buying things directly, with checkout handled through Link by Stripe
Getting started is free but there are also paid tiers at $20 and $100 a month for heavier workloads. A generous early allotment of free compute is helping drive the buzz around the launch.
For those in the social space, agentic AI tools like this are worth watching to see how they help people go from your content's reach to action: If an assistant can carry a viewer from a recipe video straight to a filled cart, the content that plays nicely with agents, clear steps, structured captions, linkable products, picks up a quiet but real advantage.
Whether or not Meta's will catch on is TBD. Afterall, many users may hesitate to provide Meta with so much personal information. (Who's ready to give Zuck access to your bank account? 🤔 🤔)
Time will tell!
