LinkedIn Creator Monetization: New Ways to Get Paid

October 27, 2026

LinkedIn's latest creator release adds several ways to make money on the platform.

Today, we’re walking you through what's included, how creators can position themselves to benefit, and why the update signals a bigger shift for the network.

What LinkedIn's new creator tools include

LinkedIn has announced a wide-ranging creator update that bundles video earnings, paid expertise, and audience insights into a single launch. Creators growing a personal brand now have more reason to take the platform seriously, and brands looking for partners may find a bigger pool of talent there as a result.

Here's what arrived:

  • In-Stream Ads (in testing): Pre-roll ads now run on videos from eligible creators, who can opt in through their dashboard and collect a portion of the revenue. The test is limited to select U.S. creators and advertisers for now, expanding on the revenue share LinkedIn first offered BrandLink partners in 2025.

  • Advice Sessions: Business Premium subscribers in the U.S. can offer paid 1:1 consultations from their profile, with scheduling, payment, and the video call all happening inside LinkedIn. According to the company, it won't keep any portion of what creators earn from sessions.

  • Creator dashboard: A central place to monitor results, organize posts, and find opportunities to grow and monetize, launching worldwide over the next few weeks.

  • Pinned comments: Post authors can lift a strong reply to the top of the thread.

  • Creator Marketplace filters: Brands searching for partners can narrow results by audience, area of expertise, and favored content formats.

How creators can take advantage

  • Keep an eye out for the In-Stream Ads opt-in in your dashboard. In the meantime, prioritize native video around one focused topic, which makes your content simpler to pair with relevant advertisers.

  • Turn your expertise into a single, clear offer. Choose one problem you're known for solving, decide on a session length and price, then promote it through your Featured section and your posts.

  • Use pinned comments as built-in CTA space, whether that's a resource, a booking link, or the most insightful reply in the conversation.

  • Sharpen your profile for brand discovery. The new marketplace filters favor creators whose niche and audience are spelled out plainly.

Why the update matters

While other platforms have spent years paying their top creators directly, LinkedIn has been slower to follow. This release suggests the company now sees creators as central to where the platform is headed.

For creators, the payoff is two possible revenue streams at once: passive income from ads on their videos and active income from paid consultations.

Pair that with LinkedIn's continued push against "AI slop," and the signal is hard to miss. The platform is making room for credible human experts who post consistently, and we expect that to make it an increasingly strong home for creators with real expertise to share.
